About Miranda Black
It's been a long journey...

My time on the homestead is filled with farm life.
A journey around the world many times over, to finally bring me right back where I started.
I've been working and exploring all over the world for over a decade. And in remarkably varied settings, providing treatments to an extremely diverse audience.
Sailing in the middle of the southern Caribbean, I used acupuncture to help a ballroom dancer regain the ability to use his leg (and eventually dance again) after twelve years of paralysis.
Working in an exclusive resort in Thailand, I spent a few weeks with a nearly-suicidal woman on the edge of her sanity, and through providing only non-invasive moxibustion (a heated herb) therapy, she regained her sense of place in the world.
Through distance correspondence from Asia, I was able to help the young son of a past patient in South Africa combat and control his Crohn's disease with herbal guidance.
I was honored to give nutrition counseling to various music and fashion industry powerhouses in Louis Vuitton's private apartment on New Bond Street in London.
I've explored the various herb-scented alleys of Hong Kong and picked wild alpine medicinals in the heights of Bhutan. I've given pantomime explanations of acupuncture to non-English speakers minutes before treatment. I've given medical advice and treatment to people from over thirty countries.
My patients have been the richest of the rich with private jets, personal assistants, and no concept of what the inside of a grocery store even looks like. And my patients have been the most humble of villagers who could not afford to pay anything more than a home-cooked meal.
Every single one of these hundreds of encounters has taught me so much. Mostly I've learned humility, gratitude, and that I have so much more to learn. I am so blessed to have had such an amazing journey so far, and look forward to sharing it with you as it continues to progress.
