Farewell, so long, 2018.
Warm welcome, 2019!
Last year was eventful and challenging for many in our circle, and I have yet to speak to anyone who isn't looking forward to a fresh start this year in some way.
Radiant Family hasn't hosted a workshop in a few years now. We enjoyed past workshops covering health topics of various sorts, humbly sharing our little bit of knowledge with our community.
As we have evolved over the past few years, this desire to share has taken on a different tone.
We love our lives, we love our community and we love our world. We love our place in this world.
Now we desire not only to share information, but also to share inspiration in our conscious community.
Sometimes being a person in this life is not easy. And despite our ever-growing "connection" through technology, it is easy to feel alone and to lose that loving spark of gratitude and joy that can rise from real person-to-person connection.
So, if you live locally in Southern Oregon, please consider joining us next weekend for a short Sunday afternoon workshop. For more details, continue reading below.
For myself, as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, I am acutely aware of our place in the environment as it changes around us. I watch myself and my patients go through physical and mental-emotional fluctuations as the seasons change. Chinese Medicine excels at helping us establish balance within, as well as without.
Despite our society's insistence that every day be the same, every week, every month all year, our environment is in flux and it affects us as well. It is best to live in balance with the seasons in order to maintain optimum harmony on a personal level.
Having recently entered the season of Winter, this is the optimum time to begin the inward journey of self-understanding on a physical level, and deeper.
This workshop will cover a breadth of topics from the practical physical level of how to maintain optimum health during Winter through diet, supplementation and exercise. We will also discuss a deeper level of understanding of our place in our environment through discussing different methods of healing most suitable in Winter, Feng Shui tips for the season, and different avenues of self-inquiry and meditation.
This workshop will be provided to you by three of us here at Radiant Family. Myself as the voice for Chinese Medicine's input on the topic, Jason will touch briefly on Reiki, and our newest practitioner, Anna Fornachon will introduce her own bits of wisdom and insight from her global repertoire of Crystal Healing and her Shamanic healing knowledge from time living and training in Mexico.
Please take note that the workshop will be held at Merging Rivers Zen Center (and not at Radiant Family), Sunday January 6th at 1:00. The Zen Center is found at the corner of 4th and J streets in Grants Pass. Please direct any questions to Radiant Family at (541) 244-0111. We hope to see you there!
